Climate change – a task for us all
Climate change is one of the biggest problems facing mankind and the earth. We are using up our planet's resources by a factor of 1.5 to 2.5. That is too much and cannot last. The climate is rapidly warming and we have barely succeeded in slowing down the process, even if the Paris Agreement of December 2015 was a positive step in the right direction and will considerably strengthen investment in renewable energy worldwide.
The agreement will significantly strengthen investments in renewable energy around the world. We need to think in networks and take matters into our own hands regionally. In this way we can shape our local energy infrastructures across sectors. We need new storage technologies and smart grids. We also need new technologies for generating energy. Saving the climate also calls for a kind of agriculture that can re-enliven the soil, enabling it to bind CO2, and includes a change in our eating habits towards less meat and more vegetables and fruits, locally produced. And we need more energy-efficient traffic and transport systems.
ELIANT promotes this and hopes for your commitment too!
