Appeal for donations for the All Africa Anthroposophic Training/AAAT in Namibia

Studying together across national and language boundaries

Dear everyone interested in Africa near and far,

It is no secret that it is currently difficult to raise funds for initiatives in Africa. Most foundations that support anthroposophical initiatives focus on Europe or their own projects. We would therefore like to express our thanks all the more warmly to those who have already made donations towards this year’s All Africa Anthroposophic Training (AAAT).

For the AAAT training, we are again expecting around 120 people from 15 to 20 different African countries who are interested in anthroposophical cultural work in agriculture, supportive education, Waldorf education, social work, ecology and medicine. What is particularly inspiring is the networking and mutual support that develops among the participants – across national borders.

Due to the great interest, we have added a two-week training course in biodynamic agriculture in Namibia beforehand, which will cost an additional €20,000 in total. This means that just under €30,000 is still outstanding at this point in time, and we very much hope that with the help of all of you we can close this gap in the next five weeks.

There is great interest among farmers from many African countries in the training course in biodynamic agriculture – the only agricultural system capable of sustainably building up humus. However, only few farmers can afford the expensive trip to Namibia. Enabling them to travel to this course is very important to us.

Every donation made to projects via our ELIANT foundation is forwarded in full without any deductions and is tax-deductible in Switzerland and Germany due to its charitable status. Please specify the purpose as AAAT Namibia.

We are grateful for any help and send warm regards on behalf of the preparatory team in Windhoek.

PS: If we receive more money than is required, it will be allocated to next year’s study week and will make the work of the new organising team easier.

Warm regards on behalf of the ELIANT team
Yours Michaela Glöckler
